ITINERARY:
Day 01 - Delhi
Arrive Delhi and check into hotel.
Day 02 - Delhi
Spend full day sightseeing Delhi. Visit Humayun's Tomb, the Qutab Minar, President House & India Gate, Raj Ghat, Jama Masjid and the famous Red Fort.
Day 03 - Delhi/Agra
AM. Transfer to New Delhi Railway Station to board train for Agra on board Shatabdi Express. Arrive Agra and transfer to hotel. Later visit the Agra Fort and tomb of Itmad-ud-daulah.
PM. Visit the famous Taj Mahal.
Overnight at hotel.
Day 04 - Agra/Jaipur
AM. Drive Agra to Jaipur stopping en route to visit the deserted capital at Fatehpur Sikri or fly Agra/Jaipur (There is a proposed Jet Airways flight on this sector this coming season). Arrive Jaipur and check into hotel. Overnight at hotel.
Day 05 - Jaipur
AM. Visit Amber Fort with an elephant ride
PM. Tour the City Palace & Astronomical Observatory. Overnight at Hotel.
Day 06 - Jaipur/Udaipur
AM. Transfer to airport & board the flight
for Udaipur (Daily). Transfer to hotel on arrival.
AM. Visit the City Palace, Sahelion Ki Bari and the Folk Art Museum). Evening boat ride on lake Pichola. Overnight at hotel.
Day 07 - Udaipur/Rohet
AM. Drive Udaipur/ Rohet stopping en route to visit the Ranakpur Jain temples built in the 15th Century. Lunch at nearby Maharani Bagh Orchard Retreat (under your own arrangements). Overnight at hotel.
Day 08 - Rohet/Jodhpur
AM. Depart on a halfday safari to view wildlife and a cultural trip to local villages.
Return to hotel for lunch. PM. Drive Rohet - Jodhpur. Check into hotel on arrival.
Day 09 - Jodhpur/Jaisalmer
AM. Visit the majestic Mehrangarh Fort and
nearby Jawantwant Thada Royal Memorial. PM. Drive Jodhpur-Jaisalmer.
Check into hotel on arrival
Day 10 - Jaisalmer
AM. Explore the quaint havelies of Jaisalmer.
PM.Drive to view sunset on the dunes. Return to hotel in the evening.
Overnight at hotel.
Day 11 - Jaisalmer/Jodhpur
AM. Visit the Jaisalmer fort and Jain temples
inside the fort. Also visit nearby Gadisar water reservoir and temples lined along the ghats. PM. Drive Jaisalmer - Jodhpur.
Arrive Jodhpur and check into hotel.
Day 12 - Jodhpur/Pushkar
PM.Drive Jodhpur - Pushkar to witness the biggest cattle fair in India. Overnight in Camp.
Day 13 - Pushkar
Full Day Pushkar experience.
Overnight in camp.
Day 14 -Pushkar/Ajmer/Delhi
Transfer to Ajmer Railway Station to board the train for Delhi. Depart Ajmer onboard Shatabdi Express (Daily except Sundays). Arrive Delhi and transfer to hotel.
Overnight at hotel.
Day 15 - Delhi/ Amritsar
AM. Transfer to New Delhi Railway Station to board the train for Amritsar onboard Shatabdi Express. Arrive Amritsar and transfer to hotel.
PM. Visit the Golden Temple to witness the birth anniversary celebration of the first Sikh Guru "Guru Nanak". Stay on to view the lighted Golden Temple in the evening.
Day 16 - Amritsar/Delhi
AM. Transfer to Amritsar Railway Station to board the train for Delhi. Depart Amritsar onboard Shatabdi Express. Arrive Delhi and transfer to hotel.
PM. Sightseeing tour of Old Delhi. Late evening transfer to international airport for flight home. End of Tour. |
