ITINERARY:
Day 1 - Delhi
Arrive Delhi. Meeting and transfer to hotel.
Day 2 - Delhi
AM Take a combined city tour of Old and New Delhi. In the evening witness a pageant of Indian Music and Folk dances..
Day 3 - Delhi/Bhubaneshwar
Morning free. Fly to Bhubaneshwar.
Day 4 - Bhubaneshwar/Konark/Puri
Morning depart by coach for Konark. En route visit Dhauligiri Shanta Stupa & Ashokan rock edicts. Visit the famous Sun Temple at Konark built in the 13th century. Proceed to Puri
Day 5 - Puri
AM Tour the renowned Jaganath Temple built in the 15th century A.D. The temple with its elaborate carvings and moulding are fine examples of Orissa architecture.
PM Relax on Balighai beach, and its miles of golden sands, turquoise waves and white surf.
Day 6 - Puri/Bhubaneshwar/Hyderabad
AM Depart by coach for Bhubaneshwar. En route visit Raghurajpur known for excellent patchwork and applique.
Arrive Bhubaneshwar and visit it’s temples, some of the best specimens of Orissa Temple architecture. Fly to Hyderabad
Day 7 Hyderabad
AM Sightsee the Charminar built in 1591. Later visit the Mecca Mosque, Salar Jung Museum and its 35 halls filled with an intriguing array of treasures.
PM Visit Golconda Fort and the royal cenotaphs of the Qutab Shahis.
Day 8 - Hyderabad/Bidar
Depart by coach for Bidar.
PM Explore Bidar, the capital of the Bahamani Kingdom. Visit the 15th century Fort and the tombs of the Bahamani and Barids king.
Rest of the day is free.
Day 9 - Bidar/Gulbarga
Morning depart by coach for Gulbarga.
Check into hotel on arrival.
PM Visit The Gubarga Fort, within the Junna Masjid, modeled on the great mosque of Cardove in Spain.
Day 10 - Gulbarg/Bijapur
Depart by coach for Bijapur.
Check into hotel on arrival.
PM Take a tour of this ancient town of Bijapur, Visit Gol Gumbaz, the Jumma Masjid - one of the first mosques in India which holds an exquisite copy of the Koran, written in gold letters. Rest of the day is free.
Day 11 - Bijapur/Badami
Depart by coach for Badami.
Arrive and check in at hotel.
PM Tour picturesque Badami and the cave temples overlooking a reservoir, the banks dotted with temples dedicated to Vishnu and Shiva. Rest of the day free.
Day 12 - Badam/Hospet
Depart by coach for Hospet. En route visit Aihole. The ‘Cradle of Indian temple architecture’, has 125 temples intricately carved, and rich in detail. Later visit Pattadakal a world famous heritage centre. Continue journey to Hospet.
Day 13 - Hospet
Hampi lies in proximity to Hampi, the site of the medieval Vijayanagra empire situated about 13 kms from Hospet.
Depart for a full day excursion to Hampi. Lunch at the "Hampi Ruins" along Tungabhadra river bank.
Return to Hospet.
Day 14 - Hospet/Goa
Depart by coach for Goa.
Check into hotel on arrival.
Rest of the day relax on the beach.
Day 15 - Goa
Spend day at leisure.
Evening Seafood Barbeque Dinner at poolside.
Day 16 - Goa/Mumbai
Transfer to the airport and board flight for Mumbai. Check into hotel on arrival.
Day 17 - Depart/Mumbai
Transfer to the airport to board flight for onward destination.
