Tiger Tops Jungle Lodge & Camp
Tiger Tops Jungle Lodge and Tented Camp is situated in Chitwan National Park, one of Asia's richest and most spectacular wildlife resorts, 120 air kms south west of Kathmandu. Tiger Tops tree houses and bungalows lie deep in the heart of the park. All the double rooms are attractively furnished with a solar shower, fan and lighting. Nepalese and western cuisine is served and a fully stocked bar remains open until the last guest retires. For the more adventurous, the deluxe tented camp is also available.
Activities at the Lodge and Tented Camp include elephant safari's, boat trips, jungle treks, bird watching excursions, and expeditions by landrover. Our experienced and knowledgeable naturalists will introduce you to the fantastic array of flora and fauna in the park, including the Greater One Horned Asian Rhinoceros, deer, sloth bear, leopard, crocodile, 450 species of birds and the elusive and nocturnal Royal Bengal Tiger.
Tiger Tops can be reached by land or air, and is open all year round. During the winter clients will transferred from the airport to the Lodge by elephant.
Karnali Lodge and Tented Camp
The Royal Bardia National Park remains a remote and relatively unexplored area in the far west of Nepal. By staying at the Tiger Tops Karnali Lodge on the edge of the Park or the Tented Camp inside the Park boundary, you will have a unique opportunity to experience environmentally-sensitive eco-tourism at its best. The Park is surrounded by the villages of the colorful Tharu people, and appropriately the facilities have been built in the style of the Tharu dwellings. The Lodge offers double rooms with attached bathrooms and a central dining area. Nepalese and Western cuisine is served around a campfire.
The Tented Camp is situated on the banks of the magnificent Karnali river. Accomodation is in large safari-style tents with comfortable twin beds. Modern toilet and shower facilities are located close by. The tented Camp provides the visitor with a unique opportunity to experience the jungle close-up both day and night. Our experienced naturalists will take you into the Park by elephant to track rhinoceros, deer, wild boar, blue bull, sambar, swamp deer and the Royal Bengal Tiger.
Tiger Tops Karnali Lodge can be reached by land and air. The Tented Camp is accessed by land or raft. The Lodge and Camp are open from September to June.
Tiger Mountain Tharu Village
Tiger Mountain Tharu Village is a resort set in a tranquil jungle environment on the edge of the Chitwan National Park. Inspired by the lifestyle and rich culture of the local Tharu people, the village is built in their tradtional architectural style of long houses. The walls are decorated by young, unmarried women in accordance with their custom.
Tharu Village offers a myriad of activities for the adventurous traveler, including boat trips on the Narayani river, jungle treks, excursions to local tharu villages by bullock cart,elephant rides in the summer months and horseback riding. Other recreational sport include tennis, badminton and pingpong. There is also a children's recreational area, on site, or simply relax by the swimming pool. The bar remains open ,as always, until the last guest retires. Tiger Mountain Tharu Village can be reached by land or air and is open all-year round.
