14 Days Everest Base Camp Trek Itinerary:

Day 1:  Arrival in Kathmandu
You will be picked up as soon you land into Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu. You will be given brief details on your big trip ahead. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Altitude: 1345m/4412ft
Accommodation: 3 star hotel
Meal: Dinner Included

 

Day  2: Fly to Lukla and Trek to Phakding.
From Kathmandu, you will have the short thrilling flight to Lukla. This exceptional flight offers a fresh Himalayan environment. It is said to be one of the most dramatic short flights in the world. FromLukla, the trekking trail now head towards the Cheplung Village. Viewing the sacred Mount Khumbila, now gradually walk downwards. We then reach the village of Phakding sighting of the KusumKangraru Mountain. Overnight stay at the Guesthouse.

Day 3: Trek to Namche Bazaar.
Today, we explore the celebrated mountain town of Namche Bazaar, a Sherpa town with probably more tourists than Sherpas. We cross Monjo, the entry point of the Sagarmatha National Park. It presents many virtues like deciduous forests, small rivers, brooks, and alpine woods. Located on a mountainside with views of the Thamserku Peak and the Kongdi RI Himal, Namche is a commercial center of Solukhumbhu region. Overnight stay at the Guesthouse.

Day 4: Rest At Namche for acclimatization or Hike to Syangboche.
Namche is an ideal place to acclimatize. We can visit the Syangboche Airstrip that lies on a hill above the town and visits the Everest Photo Gallery and the Sherpa Culture Museum in Namche. Overnight stay at the Guesthouse.

 

Day 5: Trek To Tengboche
It’s said to be an easy trail from Namche to Tengboche. It is home to the largest monastery in the region, the Tengboche monastery. We then reach the settlement of PhungkiThanka where the views of Mount Everest are magnificent.  The place is surrounded by tall green hills that are covered in re rhododendron inhabited by Impeyan Pheasants and eagles. Overnight stay at the Guesthouse.

Day 6: Trek To Dingboche
Today we crosse the Imja River by a suspension bride moving towards the village of Dingboche,.Dingboche, the “Summer Valley” of the Khumbu has a kilometer long wall built to protect the village’s crops from the cold winds that descends down the Imja Valley. We get to observe the stunning views of Lhotse, the AmaDablam and the Island Peak from Dingboche. This hill station is cold and arid. Overnight stay at the Guesthouse.

Day 7: Acclimatization Day at Dingboche or Hike to Chhukung Ri
Dingboche is another ideal village for acclimatization where we can hike up to Nagarjun. Located at the height of 5100 meters just above Dingboche on a hill at the edges of the Chhukung valley, the trail is uphill and steep, and it may require a bit of a strenuous energy. Marvelous panorama of high snowcapped mountains likeLobuche East (6119m), Lobuche West (6145m), Kangtega (6685m), Taboche Peak (6367m), Thamserku (6608m), and the AmaDablam (6856m) can be seen from up here. Returning back to Dingboche is also a very beautiful opportunity to explore nature at its core. Overnight stay at the Guesthouse.

 

Day 8: Trek To Lobuche
Today’s route is to hike through a rugged snow-covered terrain. We pass through Thukla village to reach Lobuche at the foot of the Khumbu glacier. The stunning scenery of the Khumbu Icefall and the view of the Khumbutse and Lingtren mountains are quite heavenly up there. By now, we will have quite acclimatized to the Himalayas and your much-awaited trip to Mount Everest will just be a day away. Overnight stay at the Guesthouse.

Day 9: Trek To Gorakshep to EBC and back to Gorakshep
Today’s journey begins from a slow walk further on from Lobuche runs alongside the sight of the world’s highest glacier- the Khumbu Glacier, to the right. Walking for about 2-3 hours or so from Lobuche, we will reach Gorakshep (5181m/16994ft). It is a village sitting on top of a frozen lake bed. Now the path traces all the way to the top of the edge arriving at the Everest Base Camp. From here we get to have the heavenly sight of the Khumbu Icefall and the view of the Khumbutse and Lingtren mountains. Overnight stay at the Guesthouse.

Altitude: 16942ft (Gorakshep), 17647ft(EBC)

Day 10: Hike To Kala Patthar  & Trek To Pheriche
We begin from an early morning hike to Kalapatthar which lies on the southern ridge of Mount Pumori (23,494 feet) from Gorakshep. It is undoubtedly a famous vintage point popular for providing stunning panoramic views of Mount Everest, Nuptse, Chagatse, Lhotse and the Pumori along many other peaks. The sunrise view from amidst the Mount Everest Mountains as it changes the color of the mountains from silver to gold is a moment one could never forget in life. After spending time at Kalapatthar, we now return to Gorakshep and walk down back to Pheriche, a small village full of yaks. Overnight stay at the Guesthouse.

Day 11: Trek To Namche Bazaar.
Today’s trail is an easy downhill trek through forests, iconic suspension bridges and alongside fabulous mountain ridges. We will reach Namche in about six hours enjoying the sight of the landscape and the Himalayas. The villages are lively with local people where you can observe their ethnic customs and activities as you pass through.

Day 12: Trek To Lukla.
Last day of trekking. It will be about a five hour or so trek down to Lukla. The last day of trekking will be surely an unforgettable one.Being in the lap of the highest peak, spending days in natural paradise one last day is both joyous and teary.

Day 13: Fly To Kathmandu
After a half hour short flight back to Kathmandu, the noise of the city will again remind you of the tranquility and peaceful environment of the Himalayas. You can enjoy changing sights of the landscapes one last time during the flight. You can spend spare time to visit other places in the city of temples, Kathmandu.

Day 14: Final Departure
Finally, your journey ends here. We will drop you to Tribhuvan International Airport.
