Mount Kailash situated in remote and deep in Ngari, the Westernmost part of the Tibetan plateau. Nearby town is Ali which is the Chinese-built administrative center for Ngari prefecture.  Nearby destinations as lakes Manasarovar and Rakshastal and the Guge ruins lure the pilgrims. Beside this, Tirthapuri Gompa, Purang (near Nepal border) –and Panggong Tso (Bangong He) are the major attractions.

  1. Yarlung Tsanpo – Brahmaputra River
  2. Mapcha Tsangpo – Karnali/Ganges River
  3. Langchen Tsangpo – Sutlej River
  4. Senge Tsangpo – Indus River
