Bhutan, a Buddhist kingdom on the Himalayas’ eastern edge, is known for its monasteries, fortresses and dramatic landscapes that range from subtropical plains to steep mountains and valleys. In the High Himalayas, peaks such as 7,326m Jomolhari are popular trekking destinations. Paro Taktsang monastery (also known as Tiger’s Nest) clings to cliffs above the forested Paro Valley.

During the journey through beautiful palces of Bhutan, you will experience the true essence of colourful monasteries with its spirituality, cultures, traditions and beautiful heritages. You will visit the great historic sites in Thimphu, Paro and Punakha. Also along the way, you will stroll through towns, experience village life and enjoy the natural scenery.
Day 1: Arrive Paro to Thimphu
Welcome to Bhutan, on arrival you will be greeted with respect by our guide and transfer you to Thimpu (Capitol of Bhutan), It takes about an hour drive. In the evening, you can stroll in Thimpu Town. Overnight at Hotel
Day 2: Explore Thimpu
Next morning we will explore the sites in Thimphu including King’s Memorial Chorten (which was built in honor of late King Jigme Dorji Wangchuck), School of Arts and Crafts (also known as the painting school), Folk Heritage Museum, National Institute of Traditional Medicine, Buddha Point, and Motithang Takin Preserve. Overnight at Hotel
Day 3: Thimphu to Punakha
After breakfast, we will enjoy scenic drive to Punakha. Stop at Dochula pass to get spectacular views of the Himalayas. Then we will drive and arrive at Metshina Village, which is indeed a surrounding surrounded with lovely people and walk rice fields to Chimi Lhakhang, the Divine Madman’s temple popularly considered to be a temple of fertility. We will enjoy the stay there. Overnight at Hotel
Day 4: Punakha to Paro
Today, we will drive back to Paro and stop at Dochula to visit the new Druk Wangyal Monastery, which is the only of its kind in the country. From the Dzong, we can walk down to the road head crossing a traditional wooden bridge. From here, we will be taken to Kichu Lhakhang, one of the oldest and the most sacred shrine in the country. In the evening, you can stroll in Paro town. Overnight at Hotel
Day 5: Hike to Tiger’s Nest Monastery
Today we will hike up to the Taktsang (Tiger’s Nest) monastery, the most famous pilgrim site, which clings to the rock at 3180m. According to the legend, it is believed that Guru Rimpoche, the 8th century Spiritual Master, flew to this location on the back of a tigress to meditate. We will get a chance to explore the monastery and hike back to Paro. Overnight at Hotel
Day 6: Depart Paro
Our Guide will transfer you to the airport for your flight back home or onward destination.
