Ghorepani Poon Hill is located in Myagdi District in Dhaulagiri Zone of northern-central Nepal. Weather in Poon Hill

Poon hill lies near the gorgeous city of Pokhara, the city of beautiful villages and unpredictable weather. Lower height of Poon Hill means that the climate and temperature will be mellow. When you go on higher heights to trek, you need to always be watchful about the temperature contrasts between the daytime and evening time.

Spring

Month- (March, May & April)

Spring is one of the best seasons to trek in Nepal. This season begins with the month of March and ends with the month of April. In this season you can enjoy low precipitation, lush vegetation, clear skies, mild temperatures and wonderful trekking experience in the Poon Hill trek.

Summer

Month (June, July & August)

The summer season in Poon Hill starts with June and ends with August. In this season you can enjoy heavy rainfalls, beautiful views with clean skies and observe beautiful flowers.

Autumn

Winter

Winter is the best season to visit Poon Hill Trek if you want to enjoy and play with snow. The temperatures at specific places in the trekking course to Poon Hill goes beneath the point of freezing of water but these temperatures are no place as cool as that in the Base Camp area.

9 Days Ghorepani Poonhill Trek Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu
Your journey starts from Kathmandu, We will pick you up and transfer you to your hotel. You will be given instructions about your big trip ahead. On the way, you could have your first impression about Nepalese culture.
Day 2: Drive to Pokhara
From Kathmandu, you will go on a 7/8 hours road trip to Pokhara and enjoy Lush greeneries, villages, farms, rivers, the lifestyle of local people in the streets, panoramic view on the Himalaya range and gorges.
 
Day 3: Drive to Nayapul and trek to TikheDhunga
Early in the morning, we will go for a one-hour drive to Nayapul and will start trek along the Bhurungdikhola River with bamboo, rhododendrons, forests and water springs. We will pass through Ramghai village and keep walking on a gradual ascend to reach TikheDhunga.
 
Day 4: Trek to Ghorepani
We will continue following the BhurungdiKhola River. We will walk to Ghorepani, we have to climb a stone staircase through terraced fields. Once we arrive at Ghorepani village, we will enjoy the panoramic view of Dhaulagiri, Annapurna, Hiunchuli, Machhapuchhare, and Lamjung among others.
 
Day 5: Morning hike to Poonhill and trek to Tadapani
Early in the morning, we will hike up to Poonhill to catch the spectacular sunrise view and enjoy an amazing magnificent view of the great Himalayan range including Mount Dhaulagiri, Annapurna, Machhapuchhre. After that, we will return to Ghorepani for a breakfast and continue our trek to Tadapani.
It is said that the trail from here to Ghandruk offers the most beautiful view of the entire trek. A part of the trail is Perched on a ridge, therefore it offers an amazing view of the South Annapurna before to walk through the forest. From the village, we get an excellent view of the Machhapuchhare.

Day 6: Trek to Ghandruk:
Today it will be a short and cool walk through the forest. Once upon our arrival at the village, we will have the choice to rest or visit a few places around the village. There is a temple up at the hill an hour further from the village, where we can see the lifestyle of the local people. From the top, the view of the village is nice.
 
Day 7: Trek to Nayapul and Drive to Pokhara
Today it will be our last trekking day. On our way to Nayapul, we get to enjoy the amazing hill landscapes of western Nepal. Once our arrival in Nayapul, a driver will transfer you to your hotel in Pokhara. You will have free time to enjoy the beautiful city of Pokhara and Asian Journey will give you all the necessary advice that you need.
 
Day 8: Drive to Kathmandu
On this day, you can enjoy the beauty of the countryside, green hill, beautiful villages, and thundering rivers and make up for the first day you missed in this busy town of Kathmandu. The bus will drop you to your hotel. In the free time, you can visit the surrounding area.
  
Day 9: Fly back to Home
We will transfer you to the airport hoping you spent a beautiful time with us.
